Henry Wins Appeal

Postby wbgrafix » Tue Dec 04, 2007 5:20 pm

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that Travis Henry has won his appeal of his one-year suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Upset of the year. The Broncos were confident all along, but it's extremely rare for the NFL to essentially admit a mistake this big. Henry, who was slated to backup Selvin Young last week before Young was hurt, should step back into the starting lineup this week. If Young or Andre Hall get healthy, Henry's recent ineffectiveness could lead to diminished playing time. For now, he's a solid RB2 against the Chiefs this week.

With Fargas and Grant in a PPR league, he will continue to take a seat on my bench.

I'm glad I traded Selvin Young for Greg Jennings especially since I would never start Young over LT, S Jax, McGahee and Kevin Jones.

That was a heck of deal.

I picked up Henry from waivers 3 weeks ago, when everyone seemed fairly certain that he'd be suspended. I'm happy to have him as an option, in spite of the RBBC-ish situation in Denver. He's got a couple of favorable matchups coming up - KC (rush D: 21st) and @HOU (rush D: 25th).
