Last second League changes common??

All season long our league showed 13 games followed by 3 playoff games. This week I set my team up,.. partly based on my opponents players . Just got home from work tonight (Sat 1am) and pulled up my scoreboard, and noticed that all of a sudden,... my opponent has changed. Seems that our commissioner (my gf's bro in law) has decided to add a 14th week to our season without discussing it or notifying anybody. Wouldn't be bad,.. but there has already been a game this week,.. and it puts me at 5th place (outta 10) playing the #1 instead of #4. After last week I was elated because with a BIG win I jumped from 8th to 5th. Now with this,.... I could drop back to 8th and have to play #1 again next week to start the playoffs. Am I wrong to be a bit irritated?? Wouldn't you think he would at least let us know he's doing this?? Shouldn't he have done this before any games were played this week??

Nope, that is completely uncool. Even if the game hadn't been played it would be bad. However, with discussion with the league it would be ok. With the Thursday game in the books, this should have never been done. Bad form by your commish. I don't know what would even give him the idea that this would be ok.

Seems that the changes were made by foxsports,.. and he was unaware of them too. Apparently this happened last year too. He's not happy about it and says that our league is moving elsewhere next year.

That's all I needed to know about Foxsports! Thanks for the head's up... We're in ESPN and the Commish does have the power to override and set Playoff schedules. Two years, and never an issue with anything like THAT!

Last night we were discussing going to ESPN. Hopefully it will work out better!!

Impeach the commish and dump Foxsports. Yahoo, ESPN and all the public sites stink.

This glitch I've seen has been a common one in the past with the public leagues like foxsports, cbssports, and even yahoo on some scoring issues. I agree with spodog, with dumping the league, for just for a couple of dollars per team in the league a private league and definitely the way to go.

Well,... I got stuck playing the #1 team,.... and as of right now (still got Roddy White to play and he's got Norwood) I'm up by 38 points,.. so it turned out OK. Only thing that sucks is,... if it was playoff week,.. I would have won my game too!!!
