Best QB/WR combo ever?

Postby taw856 » Tue Dec 11, 2007 12:16 am

Just figured I'd throw a poll up because I'm curious how people will answer...

Who do you guys think is the best "in their prime" QB/WR combo of all time?

For the record, Cris Carter and Carl Pickens are the only other WRs with 17 TD or more in a season, but I didn't think they belonged on the list: Pickens because he's Pickens, and Carter because he was outshone by Moss even before Moss went to New England.

(I also left off Manning-Harrison because they're more of a longevity duo.)

I voted for the most talented tandem. Which is no contest; Montana and Rice. I don't care about a single season. I do think Manning/Harrison's streak of double digit TDs deserves mention.

I chose Montana/Rice over Brady/Moss out of respect. I think Brady/Moss are probably better, but what kind of numbers would TO put up if they didn't run in Dallas?

Im not sure how you could leave off Manning to Harrison 2002. Harrison had 143 catches and 1700 yards!

I thought the question was asking about one year not over time. Montana/Rice says 87 next to it. I don't care how great Montana and Rice's career was, Brady/Moss is the greatest single season combo ever.

No way I would give my vote to Moss and Brady... Out of respect for the game I wouldn't the fact that Moss quit on two teams does not seem to be mentioned much anymore which I think is silly. Plus Rice the best WR ever and Montana is one of the best. So I go with that combo.

This poll is confusing.

Best QB/WR combo ever? but list it by the year?

Doesn't have Manning and Harrison? For reasons of longevity...but once again, the poll is for a single year?
