That has to be a feature of the Bump mechanism then. It must simply change the post data for the last post to NOW(), and that's how it makes the thread hop up there.

Hmmm...just saw this and voted. I believe we are discriminating against the West Coast

Eastcoaster at heart (of course ), I lived on the West Coast for a while as well. While on the West Coast, I always got the distinct impression that East Coast thought they were 'king." They were up hours before us.

Thinking back, it was the optimum office work experience for someone in L.A. whose Corporate was in NYC, and mother office in Germany. By the time we West Coasters were up and around in the office, East Coast was at or thinking about lunch, and Germany was already on the way out the door

The region in which I live falls under the Central time zone.

I always feel like people in this region are cheated during the annual New Year festivities, at least when it comes to television. The ball in Times Square is lowered before our celebration begins, and then we get absolutely nothing at midnight. Conan O'Brien usually makes a joke about it on his show every year... it's too bad that he won't be on the air due to the WGA strike.

Well, let's see. I first posted this thread but messed it up so badly I had to beg Treat to delete it. Then I recreated it and redid the poll, then hit the wrong time zone. On my own poll.

So if you ask me, no matter how you slice it, I'm already the loser.
