did he just kneel it on the goal line at the end of the game or what?
He purposely slid down at the one yard line.
It didn't anger me, as it was an extremely smart and selfless play, but it did send me on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I saw him break loose and starting cheering, then he slid down and I started crying. (I didn't really cry, but you get the point.)
I'm still in good shape, with a six point lead. I have ADP and the Bears' defense going up against Chester Taylor. I'll be guaranteed to receive $$$ if I can win this week.
Anyway, even if Westbrook were to have cost me a win by stopping at the one yard line, I wouldn't be angry at him for doing so. I would be upset about having such bad luck, but I wouldn't be angry at such a selfless player.
I agree. My gut reaction watching the game was "Wow. What a fantastic play for his team." It was a great play for football, not such a great play for fantasy owners. I can understand some of you being upset, but it was a really great play.
I dont think it was that great of a play, I mean a td would have virtually sealed the win too with only 2 min left and no times outs Dallas would have to march down score a TD, get a 2 point conversion, recover the onside kick, get in fg range, and make the fg. Its not like this win really matters for philly anyways just score the TD for all those philly fans that have you on their fantasy team

I seem to recall the Cowboys pulling off a miracle win earlier this season. They scored nine points in the last twenty seconds. That goes to show you that anything can happen, and that you shouldn't give your opponent a chance to win, if it isn't necessary.

Plus, they are playing the EAGLES. Have you seen what idiotic things the Eagles do to let other teams back into games that they have no business to be in? I am sooo glad Westbrook did that.

Brian Westbrook doesn't care about your fantasy football team while he's playing the game.

Late in the Eagles/Cowboys game, the Eagles were up 10-6 with 2:19 left to play. The Eagles had a 1st and 10 at the Dallas 25 yard line. Dallas had no timeouts left. B.Westbrook took a handoff around the right tackle to DAL 1 for 24 yards, and instead of easily waltzing into the endzone, he fell down at the 1 and allowed a Dallas defender to touch him. Rather than go up 17-6 but allow Dallas the opportunity to mount a comeback, he knew that the Eagles could run the clock out and win the game if he just fell down.
It's not a certainty, but I suspect I will lose because he did that. If Shockey decides to not show up tonight I'll win anyway (so far, 1 catch for 3 yards) but it would have likely guaranteed my win if he went in.
For the record, that play was quite amazing. For a player to have that kind of sense is something else. He knew they only needed to get a first down and that's all he did even though he could have walked into the endzone. Very, very heads up against a team that has had a couple of last minute comeback victories.
Shockey with his second catch. I need him to only get one more or I'll lose.
It was a great play. I respect Westbrook for doing his job. I don't know if the coach said do not score if you get a first down. Even if he did, which I doubt, Westbrook put in the work to win the game. I would be proud to have a player like Westbrook on the Saints.
The look on Andy Reid's face was priceless. It was one of those, oh my god that is the smartest most unselfish play I have ever seen, type of looks. That is the kind of play that will be talked about when Westy's contract negotiations start this off-season. It just shows that he really cares about his team winning and not necessarily his numbers.

I have Westy and I am losing by a little bit (money league, no playoffs) but I really can't complain about this. He was great today and has been great all season, chances are if you were in the playoffs its because of Westbrook who has been a top 3 back the entire season.
