No offense, but it's obvious he wore down some in the second half. He had 16 carries for 101 yards in the first half, 11 carries for 28 yards in the 2nd half. How is that not worn down? I don't blame him, I think it was foolish to make this his first start of the season and to only give JJ 3 carries in the entire game, but facts are facts. 11 carries in a half is a pretty good amount, that's the point. If he only had 5 carries, that would've been a different story.

I agree....getting 11 carries in a half is far from terrible especially considering that he ended the game with 27 carries which is quite a lot for a RB in his first start and carrying of the full load all year. He looked really good when he was fresh, but he sure didn't look like a guy who could play at a high level all game in his one chance that he was given this year....an off season coming in as the starter could help, but they will probably want to keep another back around to split.

The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram believes the Cowboys do not want to rely on Marion Barber to be their only featured running back next season.

Barber is expected to be the 2008 starter, but his punishing running style may leave him more susceptible to injuries and exhaustion. The Cowboys could look to free agents Michael Turner, Chris Brown, Derrick Ward, or Vernand Morency to replace Julius Jones.

Marshawn Lynch-RB-Bills Jan. 16 - 2:45 pm et

New Bills offensive coordinator Turk Schonert anticipates using Marshawn Lynch as an every-down back in 2008.

Lynch lost passing-down duties to Anthony Thomas, and later Fred Jackson as a rookie. "He's had a year, he understands the protections now," said Schonert. "He'll be an integral part of our third-down package." Lynch should get more catches and more in-space opportunities in the revised offense.
