So what've you guys thought about this?

I just picked it up yesterday with a gift card I got to Best Buy for Christmas from 'the kids'... From the little I've heard it's supposed to be
awesome. Is it? Worth the cash?

Looks like it's the entire series, over 550 minutes worth.

I like the British version better too, but the content is essentially the same, so I don't think it really matters. I watched about half the episodes on Cable in HD and got the DVD set for my birthday. I can tell you that the HD DVD makes all the difference in the world. The regular DVD version is nice, but the HD DVD version is awesome!

Regular DVD version ---> Super

HD DVD version ---> Super-duper! That's nice! Way to go! Neat-o, gang.

Planet Earth is awesome, I watch it all the time. I've only seen the BBC versions. Talk about some nice eye candy to feed your HD TV.

My wife is like "so it's animals and scenery...that's it?" Haha. Seems she's not as fired up about it. :-b
