I wonder how long will it take to get used to writing 08 on everything this year

New Years are so depressing. You look back and see that you did absolutely nothing worthwhile. Oh well, such is life. As the great Kurt Vonnegut once said: "I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different."

my favorite author

Yeah he is by far my favorite author, as well. I was so sad when he died! I'm working on getting all his books read. One of my friends has read every single one, and has most of them. So I have just been borrowing them and reading them. I received his short story collection, "Welcome to the Monkey House", for Christmas. Should be diving into that shortly. Trying to finish Catch 22, but that book just can't keep my interest for very long. I may just have to give up for now and read Vonnegut again. I got a Barnes and Noble gift card for Christmas, too! Ahh! So many books I want to read, but not enough time!
