Re: When To Open Free Agency (POLL)

Postby dream_017 » Mon Jun 25, 2007 9:12 am

I like the closer to the begininng of the season. I would look at the second week of August, the 1st pre-season game is Aug 5th and the first weekend of games start on the 9th. As soon as games are being played I have no problem opening it up.

My actual vote went on Aug 19th :-b

Re: Divisions? (POLL)

I like divisions. I think it makes for a little better rivalry between teams and keeps everyone interested as long as they can win the division.

Re: Cut Down Date? (Discussion)

Postby dream_017 » Mon Jun 25, 2007 9:56 am

Just my thoughs, doesn't differ too much from what is proposed. I think the later the date the better and Aug 31st is fine by me.

I'll have to get in and play around with the set-up a little, but, everything should be able to be taken care of by the site. I currently have our roster(prior to the draft, but includes trades during the draft) in the site. We can open the roster spots to accomodate the draft picks and have the FA process run on the site, this way all players would be available(if for some reason a player is not available post here and myself or FnJ can designate a player to take his place until he is available), and we wouldn't have to rush to add/change rosters. Just make sure to cut your players by the deadline, thne we can change the roster limit back to 24 and go from there. Last I checked they didn't have the rookies yet, but I'm sure they are coming, if not already there.

I am re-sending FnJ access to our league to make sure things are set-up correctly and to get a feel for it prior to sending out to everyone. I see no reason why we wouldn't have things set-up and everyone access once we open up the free agent period.

The only thing that I have concern with is that some rosters are larger than others based on traded draft picks. From previous discussion we are going off (24 + '07 draft picks) is your roster size until the cut-down date.

how do you open up FA before a draft has been executed?

i voted other. my thinking is i don't realy care if there are divisions or not. but if there are i don't think they should be based on previous "veteran settings" so maybe go with rookie draft order or even better a random team placement.

Not sure the question.

The draft has already taken place and the roster will be loaded into AOL(hopefully, I will do it soon O:-) ), then we can open up FA.
