I actually think My Name is Earl has really lost steam. After watching 2 or 3 episodes this season and not lauging once, we finally realized that it wasn't funny anymore. At one point we kind of looked at each other as if to say... why are we still watching this? Right after that we cancelled the series recording we had on it.
