Must Know Players

We'll I just started following the NFL (I've watched it before, but i mean really get into it) this year and picked the Vikings as my team early on in the season.
My list was as follows:
1.They were an exciting team to watch (at times,and really only because of ADP)
2.They arn't bad but they arn't good either, and they have the potential to be a good team.
3.I couldn't bring myself to cheer for the patriots, I resent bandwagoners.

Minnesota also is one of the states that is closest to Canada, and they're big into hockey. In the end it was between Minnesota and Denver, but I decided that Minnesota was by far the best choice.

Those are just a handful of my reasonings.

As you see alot of my reasoning went into my decision, it was well thought out (Or too thought out in others minds perhaps).

However, since i started in week 6 im having alot of trouble figuring out the players due to the fact that I've only been able to see 4 Vikings game because of the Patriots being on every station. The Patriots are fun to watch, but due to this im really having trouble learning the players.

I've been suggested to play as them in Madden but it's just too painful, sorry but the vikes are horrible in that game.

Anyways, I was wondering what players are on the must know list, because i don't want to freeze if someone asks me a player question.

I know:
Chester Taylor
ADP-Duh
Sidney Rice
Tavaris Jackson

I also have slight memories of the O and D line, all i can remember is that there are two really good guys that have the same last names (I'm not sure if they are brothers or not.)

Anyways, during this offseason I want to learn the ins and outs of the Vikes, because when i commit to a team, I dont half arse it.

WOW man, sorry I missed this for so long! I don't have time right now, but I'll definitely give some insight later. Knowing our probowlers this year is a start i'd say. Secondary help, QB help, WR help... and a new coach is what I'm hoping for in the offseason. There are some good folks in this forum that I'm sure will be around soon enough to lend a hand. Our season is over so traffic in the Vikings forum is very slow

Good choice of team.

Bad choice for your NHL team though.

First and foremost for the Vikes you should get to know our punter, Chris Kluwe. You probably saw him a lot this year and he will likely be out there a lot again next year. All joking aside, he is a solid punter.

The two guys on the D-Line you are referring to are Kevin Williams (#93) and Pat Williams (#94). They are of no relation, but both are Pro-Bowl caliber players.

Some of my favorites to watch include:

Adrian Peterson-That's obvious

E.J. Henderson-#56-The middle linebacker for the Vikes who has really become a very good LB. Struggled his first few seasons but has really found himself and become a key player on the defense.

Steve Hutchinson-#62-The All-World left-guard. He's been a dominant force on the O-Line and one of the players that makes the offense go.

I'll add more later, but those are some of the marquee names.

I know that it's kind of funny that i cheer for the Vikings, considering that the Canucks and the Wild are division rivals. I'd prefer them to win over Calgary and Edmonton though.

Pat Williams+Kevin Williams and Steve Hutchinson are the ones i can remember sometimes (Hutchinson has a blonde beard right...or red?) It's brown, I think im getting him mixed up with Matt Light. Player overload this year haha.
