I'm on my 2nd Survivor league (started in week 11) that has a twist. Pick any team you want starting in week 11 with the normal Survivor rules (can't pick that team again). If you make it past the regular season, you start picking playoff teams. However, if you've taken all the playoff teams in the regular season, you're done because you have no one left to pick. Once the games get to the conference championship and super bowl, you can take any team you want again, because to get that far you would've had to take those teams to stay alive. It makes it fun, and interesting.
Anyway, my strategy was to get to the playoffs, and if that meant taking playoff teams, so be it.
Here's the teams I've taken so far since week 11:
Philly over Miami 17-7
Pittsburgh over Miami 3-0 (the Heinz field embarrassment)
New England over Baltimore 27-24 (yeah, I'm playing with fire)
Green Bay over Oakland 38-7 (finally one I didn't have to sweat it out)
Tampa Bay over Atlanta 37-3 (another easy one)
Arizona over Atlanta 30-27 (playing with fire again)
Cleveland over San Fran 20-7
Playoffs Round 1
San Diego over Tennessee 17-6
My intentions all along were to take Dallas this weekend if I made it this far. But they scare the crap out of me this weekend. Since I have Indy left, I'm considering them over San Diego instead.
Everyone else left has New England, so I'm assuming that's who they are all taking. If somehow, someway, Jax pulls the upset, I could walk away with it all.
So, should I take Indy or Dallas this weekend?
Looking at week 17, I'm thinking about Cleveland over San Fran. There's really not much else. I wish I had Green Bay this week.
Any other suggestions?
