Per the rules of Trivia Time and the wording of my question, I will accept the fastest answer with EITHER The University of Kansas, where Outland played in 1895 and 1896 OR The University of Pennsylvania, where Outland played in 1897 and 1898.

Washburn University is an incorrect answer. Outland coached there but did not play there.
