Just wanted to hear some stories. I think there is a thread about this (I remember NFL Fan's story about his kid sneaking into the post-game party at a Seahawks game I think), but I couldn't find it.
Anyway, Lou Holtz flew out of Amarillo today. I got to go and talk to him and shake his hand. He gave one guy there his autograph on a photo of him golfing with Bill Clinton, Jim Leeland, and there's a secret service guy in the background.
I've met Shaq and Wyclef in Miami, and ate at the same restaurant as Anna Kournikova, but she was too hot so I didn't go up and talk to her. She can make any language hot though!
On a lesser note I did get to meet Mr. Lif, a underground rapper from Boston, outside The Hardrock in Downtown Minneapolis after the concert my buddy and I went too. Got his autograph heard about his new projects, and we talked about Bahsten sports...This was in the summer. Back when I didn't mind hearing Brady or The Red Sox.
I have met former Phillie and current yankee Bobby Abreu, former basketball world b free, a former sixer, todd macullough, and I know hip hop(the sixers mascot). He goes to our church,

I have met a few famous Minnesota athletes, such as: Kirby Puckett, Torri Hunter, Kevin Garnett. I also saw Sinbad at the Mall of America, he actually almost ran over me on his way to FootLocker (I was just a little tyke at the time). That was no doubt the pinnacle of my existance.
Randy Moss was a student of mine when I was a grad teaching assistant at Marshall.
I was in the Navy with Eddie Murphy's cousin. Met Eddie at murph's wedding.
Used to hang out at the bar where Billy Ray Cyrus was the singer of the house band before he became famous.
Got drunk with Alabama when they were on a college tour at the time their first album hit the charts.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.
eh, Radar from MASH, altho that was 20 years ago so it had more fame potential at the time. I've met local sports figures, almost ran over Reggie Miller (Pacers) in a parking lot. Have met the governor, the mayor, etc. Nothing cool or spectacularish. I've been spitting distance from George H.W. (back when he was president) on a couple occasions but never got a handshake.
Met Jimmy Buffett when I lived in the Florida Keys, but in that context that's like saying I got drunk in a bar in Tijuana.
