I've got some fun weather facts, and some hope for those braving the cold. B-)

Your weather related fun facts for the day:

1. On Tuesday we tied a Twin Cities record for the 2nd greatest temperature change in a calendar day. In one day we went from +36 to -13 for a 49 degree change. The Twin Cities record is 51 degrees in 1903 (-17 to +34). The Minnesota record is 71 degrees in Lamberton. The temp. went from 78 to 7 on April 3 - 4, 1982.

2. The US record for temperature change is 113 degrees. In Loma, Montana on January 15 - 16, 1972, the temperature went from -54 to +49.

3. On January 22, 1943 the temperature in Spearfish, SD went from -4 to +45.....in two minutes.

yesterday we dropped about 45-50 degrees. When I went the school in the morning it was 60-65 degrees, and when I left it was snowing and freezing cold, I know last night it got down to about 12 degrees with windchill of like 5.

Global warming has a higher overall toxicity level than any other weather phenomenon.

We went from 52 to around 9.

That -4 to +45 in two minutes is pretty impressive.

I hate the weather here. Gonna be 50 everyday for the next week. I'm sure you guys in Minny would love that, but I like the cold and winter (not -50 wind chills :-D ), and damn, it has not felt like winter here. Snowstorms are actually my favorite part, and I think we have about a good 2 inches so far near Philly this winter. :-t
