Jets hired Bill Callahan as assistant head coach.
Callahan couldn't win consistently at Nebraska, but is still a respected coach in NFL circles because of his offensive mind. It is interesting that Callahan, a believer in the West Coast system, will be teaming with Brian Schottenheimer, who favors the spread attack. It's possible the Jets will push Schottenheimer out the door or expect him to move on to Baltimore.
Intresting point at the end about trying to push Schottenheimer out the door. I thought Brian has done a good job his first two years as the OC. In Newsday Mangini said he brought Callahan in because of his experience with run blocking schemes and he would work with our O-line which needs lots of help!
