Too much Archie???

I do not think it is Archie's fault they keep showing him on TV. I doubt he asks the TV station to show him X number of times during a game or else. For some reason, the media is enamored with showing Archie as well as players' wives, popular girlfriends (*cough*Romessica*cough*), etc.

It's the slippery slope from sport to entertainment. The admen apply entertainment marketing principles to sport marketing to satisfy an increasingly insipid audience that too easily buys whatever is sold them from major media shills.
Or maybe they have two weeks of dead air to fill.
