Reports on the hokie boards are that Eddie Royal (WR - VT) had a great showing during practices. Unfortunately he had a bruised kidney and couldn't play in the game but he definitely made some extra cash this week despite not playing.

The QB from Delaware, Flacco, played pretty well all week at the Senior Bowl. He's a big kid with a big arm. He orginally was at Pittsburgh and left to play at Deleware.

The thing that worries me about him is that he hasn't really played anybody decent. He has been playing D1AA (or the equivalent thereof) for his entire career, so as well as he may have done in the senior bowl, it's way up in the air as to whether or not he can compete with NFL caliber athletes.

Just for reference purposes, not trying to be argumentative:

Steve McNair played at a I-AA school, and I am sure there have been others. I do not think that where you play matters too much anymore, b/c there are a lot of good football players everywhere and teams have been finding them pretty regularly.

I'm not saying he can't be good because he played at Delaware, I'm just saying it's a question mark as to what happens when he plays against significantly better athletes than he is used to.
