There are two seasons: Football and waiting for football.

Ain't that the truth!
Oregon does look promising next year with a lot of key starters returning and all the new prospects.
But anytime a team is handing over the reigns at QB it's scary and rarely are the next couple seasons very successful. I'm hopeful and optimistic though.

Especially a freshman!

Well maybe not. Roper looked pretty darned good in the bowl game against USF and he'll be a sophomore I believe. He's like 6'6" and a little over 200 pounds. I'd like to see him put on a little more weight. He wouldn't be scrambling like Dixon as he's pretty much a drop back passer but he is quick for his size and does have a good strong arm and looked pretty accurate in the bowl game.
Then of course there's Nathan Costa who is a sophomore or junior(man I can't keep these guys straight) Hes much shorter than Roper at 6'1" but is also much bigger and MUCH stronger. The kid squats 425 lbs. and benches 290 lbs. thats pretty damn good for a QB.

He also had the 2nd fastest 40 time behind Dixon. Very strong arm and is vary mobile.
Also theres Cody Kempt, Cade Cooper and Sam Doman already on the Ducks roster. And you can probably add Darron Thomas and maybe Chris Harper to that list...yeah it's going to be interesting to see who emerges as the starter.
