There are two seasons: Football and waiting for football. :~(

Ain't that the truth! %-6 :-t :-b

Oregon does look promising next year with a lot of key starters returning and all the new prospects. But anytime a team is handing over the reigns at QB it's scary and rarely are the next couple seasons very successful. I'm hopeful and optimistic though. ;-D

Especially a freshman! :-o

Well maybe not. Roper looked pretty darned good in the bowl game against USF and he'll be a sophomore I believe. He's like 6'6" and a little over 200 pounds. I'd like to see him put on a little more weight. He wouldn't be scrambling like Dixon as he's pretty much a drop back passer but he is quick for his size and does have a good strong arm and looked pretty accurate in the bowl game.

Then of course there's Nathan Costa who is a sophomore or junior(man I can't keep these guys straight) Hes much shorter than Roper at 6'1" but is also much bigger and MUCH stronger. The kid squats 425 lbs. and benches 290 lbs. thats pretty damn good for a QB. 8-o He also had the 2nd fastest 40 time behind Dixon. Very strong arm and is vary mobile.

Also theres Cody Kempt, Cade Cooper and Sam Doman already on the Ducks roster. And you can probably add Darron Thomas and maybe Chris Harper to that list...yeah it's going to be interesting to see who emerges as the starter. 8-o

DOH!! :-P
This just in... no Pryor! :~(

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsbu ... 50755.html

Jeannette High School officials said today that football star Terrelle Pryor will make his college choice Wednesday at noon in a press conference that will be nationally televised.
Pryor, considered the top recruit in the country, had considered delaying his announcement so he could make a recruiting trip to Oregon. But Pryor has changed his mind and will not make the Oregon trip. He also won't visit Penn State, which also is among his four finalists.

Michigan and Ohio State are considered the two front-runners

Terrelle Pryor, the nation's top-ranked player and one of four five-star prospects yet to commit, told Rivals.com's Mike Farrell that he is still unsure whether he will make a decision on Wednesday. Pryor also told Farrell he may still visit Oregon after Signing Day.

Terrelle Pryor still may not sign on Wednesday.
Other media outlets reported Monday that Pryor was 80-90 percent sure he would sign on Wednesday and that he had eliminated Oregon. But according to Farrell, nothing has changed with Pryor. The quarterback from Jeanette, Pa., said he has no definite plans to sign with anyone on Wednesday.

"I spoke to Pryor, and he said the report was incorrect," Farrell said. "He said was still 50/50 whether he'd sign or not, and Oregon is not eliminated. He said it's still Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State if he signs Wednesday, and Oregon is in the mix if he waits."

Also a five-star basketball prospect, Pryor has talked about wanting play both sports in college. Saturday night, he scored 27 points and pulled down 12 rebounds with both Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez and Ohio State coach Jim Tressel in the gym.

Ohio State has long been at or near the top of Pryor's list, while Michigan got into the mix when Rodriguez was hired away from West Virginia.

Earlier last week, Penn State coach Joe Paterno also dropped in on Pryor. It appeared the top prospect in the nation had things narrowed down to three Big Ten schools. For now, Pryor says the Pac-10 school is still in the mix.

Stay tuned to Rivals.com for the latest on Pryor and other prospects as National Signing Day approaches.
