I posted a link to an article about Dewitt Stuckey, star athlete from my high school heading to Oregon next year in GT. I posted it in GT because it wasn't all college football related...in fact it wasn't any football related. Dewitt Stuckey was arrested Friday night and is accused of taking part in beating another teen from rival Saint Mary's unconscious and breaking his jaw. :-t

Figured I would share an article about your OC
Oregon offensive coordinator Chip Kelly won't say it, but I will: he's a rock star. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if he's a I-A head coach at this time next year.

Not bad for a guy who was coaching Division I-AA New Hampshire in 2006. I know it has a good program. But, c'mon, it's New Hampshire.

Kelly could have stayed in the fiefdom he had built, but bigger things beckoned. That's when Ducks coach Mike Bellotti plucked him to ramp up Oregon's offense.

Yup Chip Kelly is the man, thanks for that article dee.

Update on Dewitt Stuckey, no charges will be filed.

STOCKTON – Prosecutors said today they will not file charges against Dewitt Stuckey, a 19-year-old Lincoln High School football star arrested on suspicion of beating a St. Mary’s High School student last week at the March Lane In-N-Out Burger.

The office of San Joaquin County District Attorney James Willett said in a written statement that prosecutors reviewed the evidence and interviewed Stockton Police officers investigating the May 23 incident that left St. Mary’s junior Ray Guyton, 18, with a broken jaw.

The investigation revealed that many people were involved in more than one fight, and some of combatants have been identified while some have not. Witnesses gave conflicting accounts of the brawl, as is common in group disturbances, the prosecutor’s statement said.

“In most accounts, however, Mr. Stuckey was not or could not be identified as the individual or among the individuals who delivered the injurious blows to Mr. Guyton as he lay on the ground,” the statement said.

Jeremiah Johnson declares all good-
Oregon running back Jeremiah Johnson stated he is enjoying pain-free summer workouts. Johnson is attempting to come back from knee surgery, and his status impacts both his fantasy prospects and those of incoming JUCO stud LaGarrette Blount.
