SuperBowl Commercials: The Best, Worst, Yawn?

Postby DRAFTAHOLIC on Sun Feb 03, 2008 8:43 pm

I really do not know what to expect from the SuperBowl Commercials. Most of them seem to be funny only to the people who make them. For example, what was that commercial all about with the iguana's? What do dancing iguana's have to do with bottled water? Okay, maybe the iguana is on the bottle but without us knowing that we are simply looking at the commercial and wondering "why?".

So far I liked the squirrel screaming while in the road but I am beginning to believe that the days of the very creative commercials are over and done with.

Your thoughts?

The commercials completely sucked this year. None of them were in any way memorable. Except maybe the Will Ferell one, and I don't even remember what that one was advertising.

PS Don't tell me, then I might buy it.

I agree. I didn't really think any of them were "hilarious". Some were funny, but all in all, it wasn't a great year.

I thought they were horrendous. I thought the Dorito's commercial with the mouse was somewhat funny, but yeah, that was it.

I liked the Shaq as a Jockey commercial the best. Very unexpected.

The ads were pretty poor this year. Nothing that sticks out as being original or inspiring. Nothing even the least bit funny. :-t :-t :-t

The baby with the clown one was the only one I actually laughed out loud to. It was pretty funny, but everything else got a chuckle at best.

Pretty unimpressive this year. But that's ok because I was so glued to the game I needed the commercial breaks to run to the fridge.
