I think it's become cool for people to bash Michael Bay. I wouldn't call myself a fan of his, but I think Michael Bay does an adequate job with the types of movies he chooses. Let's face it, he doesn't exactly work on top notch, oscar caliber screenplays, does he? Not only that, but he can damn sure direct some action shots. I guess I've just never been too keen on jumping on the anti-Michael Bay bandwagon.

i agree that there is too much hating on him. I rather enjoy his movies. As I said this was battle was tough. I really enjoyed Transformers, The Rock, Armageddon, Bad Boys I and II... I'm sure I'll like the next Transformers... but I think his films could have been better. I think he's arrogant and that hurt him. I enjoy a lot of his stuff... I'll probably get bashed for this post...

Not by me.
To be honest, I wouldn't call myself a fan of any of his movies, but that's because he does popcorn movies. They're just fun, mindless movies and aren't really worth over analyzing, IMO.

Oh, granted. It's not that Michael Bay is a horrible director who's never made a decent film. He's just comes off like an arrogant jerk everytime I see him on air. Most people who have seen him, at least that I've spoken to, would agree.
I like both of these, but went with Bourne for now.
As for Bay, I kind of like his movies. If anything, they're usually guaranteed to entertain. It's funny how his arrogance can be seen onscreen in his movies though, IMO. Those slow motion panning shots of the heroes always make me laugh.
