If you believe in this theory, which puts forth the proposition that receivers in their third year in the NFL will have a breakout season, then which receiver will have the best fantasy season in 2008?
Feel free to discuss the pros of your vote and the cons of whom you didn't select - this could be helpful for some and generate some good discussion. If you vote "other," then please discuss the player afterwards, which will serve as a write-in vote.
I prefer Marshall...The guys was a beast for me last year...and its not even close ..if its PPR scoring..Its hands down Marshall..him and Cutler could be a top tier QB/WR combo for years to come...and Both are only going to get allot better...
Greg Jennings for me. Favre comes back and the Packers contend once again. I think you saw how much faith he already has in Greg and it will only get better

I knew there'd be some Cafe members that had a little too much caffeine this morning, but I was surprised to see him out-vote Colston. I'll go with the TD-happy Colston who isn't expecting Javon Walker back. No, for me it's between Greg Jennings and Colston. The Packers dream season keeps me putting too much faith into a repeat so I'll go with Colston in this one.
They really are two seperate questions, but the poll is for best FF season, so I'd go with Marshall followed by Colston. I'd say Colston and Marshall have already broken out, so if the question was breakout, I'd give the edge to Jennings or Holmes, who haven't quite broken out as much yet.

14 Teams, each keep 14 players QB: P. Manning, Schaub RB: MJD, Westy, C. Johnson, A. Bradshaw, J. Ringer WR: TO, Driver, J. Gage, Crabtree, J. Morgan, K. Curtis, E. Bennett, M. Sims-Walker TE: Witten, M. Lewis K: Gostkowski, J. Brown D/ST: Tenn, NE
Gotta go with Colston because I think the Saints stumbled at times last season, especially early, and that he is a huge part of their pass game. Jennings I like second becuase he showed his nose for the endzone. A very close second. Marshall has to be more consistant, from the start of the season to the end.
For the most part the 3rd year WR theory has fallen out of favor for me. It seems that going to the right sytem and having the right tools can produce a FFB stud before they've played 3 years. Instant gratification strikes again!
I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

I will agree with that. And Marques Colston is a perfect example of a player breaking out well before his third year.
I think the first four guys on that list have already "broken out." If the question is just, which one will have the best season... I'll go with Marshall.
