Vikings Address WR in Free Agency?

Rumblings have been abound this offseason, but the most recent name mentioned is the one I'm most interested in: Jerry Porter (OAK). As far as cost/reward benefits go, I think he is definitely the best option for the Vikings at WR. In 2-3 years, T-Jax throwing to Rice, Porter, and Allison could be a formidable passing attack. Let's just hope ADP can stay healthy that long...

I'd rather look elsewhere. I don't wanna take on a malcontent like Jerry Porter when we have worked to shed the roster of those types in the past few years. Even when he's been on the field Porter has been extremely inconsistent and is not the type of reliable option that T-Jax desperately needs. I am looking for a WR that can stretch the field to compliment Sid the Kid as a possession receiver. Berrian would be ideal but I don't want to overpay. Hackett would be a nice option as well. He's athletic and can make plays on the outside, all send Wade to the slot where he belongs.

Agreed, Porter is not the answer. Let's hope this rumour goes away.
