We're usually wary of signing ex-Colts, but it's always nice to take a quality player from a division rival and put him on your team. Scott has similar tools to the man he'll replace at left guard, Jacob Bell. He's also younger, way cheaper, and hasn't missed a start since his rookie season (2004).

No reason to be wary of ex-Colts when they're on the O-line. I was hoping the packers would make a play for him. Good signing.

Bucs agreed to terms with RB Warrick Dunn on a two-year, $6 million contract, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter. Dunn will make $3 million in 2008. Dunn returns to where his career started, most likely as a third-down specialist and replacement for free agent Michael Pittman. Michael Bennett's roster spot is now tenuous, especially if Cadillac Williams can get healthy. Among all the Bucs' backups, Dunn has the best chance to be a valuable handcuff for starter Earnest Graham. He won't be a threat to Graham's job. Mar. 10 - 7:04 pm et
Bucs signed WR Antonio Bryant. A great gamble for Tampa and a perfect spot for Bryant. Bryant was out of the league in 2007 because of substance abuse problems, but he averaged 842 yards from 2004-2006 on poor passing teams. Those numbers compare favorably with far higher priced free agent wideouts this year. Bryant is a gamble, but the Bucs have a history taming problem players, and his size and speed are sorely needed. He should start and be a fine fantasy sleeper. Mar. 10 - 6:22 pm et Source: St. Petersburg Times

That's good for both parties. Dunn is a great guy, so I'm really happy to see him get signed, and at the same time, I think he can still be a positive impact for a team, so it's good for the Bucs as well. He could be a decent sleeper for this year.

Giants agreed to terms with QB David Carr on a one-year contract. NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the deal is worth $1 million. He can make more in incentives. Carr has a strong arm and athleticism, so he should look good in training camp practices with a red non-contact jersey on. He's probably the favorite to back up Eli Manning as it stands. The Giants should pray that Eli remains his durable self in 2008, however. Mar. 12 - 4:06 pm et Source: Newark Star-Ledger
Falcons re-signed Joey Harrington to a one-year, $1 million contract, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter. Getting cut in a salary cap move, then re-signing days later for $1.5 million less is a sign your NFL juice is gone. Harrington made the right move to return, because he still has a legitimate chance at starting over Chris Redman or a rookie to be named later. He can be a capable backup, but tends to fade when he starts for long stretches. Mar. 11 - 5:47 pm et

The Packers are running out of options. Brunell, 38 this summer, didn't play a down as a third-stringer behind Jason Campbell and Todd Collins last year. He's lost a lot of arm strength and underwent surgery for a torn labrum last offseason. If Drew Brees goes down, he'll likely struggle to post good stats.
