FoxSports.com reports that the Bills acquired former Jaguars DT Marcus Stroud for third- and fifth-round picks. Buffalo's run defense just got more stout. Stroud, 30, hasn't been the same since undergoing ankle surgery in 2006, but he's a premier tackle when healthy. That isn't often. Profootballtalk reports that Stroud will receiver more upfront money on his current deal, but won't get a significant raise from the Bills.

Yea, but Stroud and Henderson is better. 3rd and a 5th is cheap IMO for him
Pretty cheap, but they probably feel they have bigger issues right now and can afford to lose him.
They had great play from the D-line and the backup for stroud in the playoffs against the Steelers. I think Getting what they can for stroud isn't a big loss for them. Don't scoff at a 3rd round pick either.

Stroud would make my short list of most overrated players in the NFL. The Jags have the depth to afford the loss and when you consider his contract and the picks they get in return, I think this is a solid move for them.
I think the other story here is that the Bills are building a team the right way. They are solidifying their lines, both offense and defense, and could really come into relevancy as long as their offense progresses under Edwards (they were hoping they'd be there with Losman already). I think the Bills are on the verge of being legitimate contenders for the playoffs.. and a year or two from potentially gelling together to be a Superbowl contender (as long as things go right).
Stroud's streaky, like alot of DT's, but a 3rd and a 5th for him is a steal. You're couldn't spend a 3rd round pick or even a 2nd round pick on a DT in the draft and get a player as good as Stroud. Bills finally did something right.
