Titans agreed to terms with TE Alge Crumpler, according to NFL Network's Adam Schefter.
There was talk at the Combine that Crumpler has a degenerative knee issue, and multiple teams had reservations about signing him. But he's missed only two games since 2004 and should be the sort of safety valve for Vince Young he once was for Mike Vick. He is also a fine blocker. Crumpler will start over Bo Scaife in Tennessee, but don't bet on him catching 60 passes again. Related: Bo Scaife, Vince Young, Falcons, Bills, Seahawks
Nice signing for the Titans. Now they just need to get Vince some Wrs.

Or they can line up in a 3 TE set with Crumpler, Scaife, & Troupe.

Well, unless there's a wide receiver that would be a better option than those three...
Kudos to Leber for the amazing sig and to Metroid for the userbar and making them both fit 2008 and 2009 Defunct Dynasty League Champion

Which there isn't. But Troupe is still a FA, so there's a chance they can go for it. Heck sign Kris Wilson and go 4 TE.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks! (Thanks Leber) AIM is like multiplayer notepad
I think that Alge Crumpler really will open up the passing lanes for V.Young if he can stay healthy. Crumpler may not be as quick as he was, but he can go over the middle and force the defenses to at least respect him. The Titans also have Roydell Williams and Justin Gage. I believe neither one is better than an average #2, but both are more a #3 WR, so the Titans still need to upgrade and bring in at least one other WR. A lineup of Hackett, Gage, Crump, and Lendale, although not sexy, would get the job done with a defense that wins games.
