In most cases we rip apart an athlete for only caring about the money so I think we need to give Randy some props here. Sure, I'm an Eagles fan and I would have loved him playing for us this season, but he stood by his team and resigned for less money because he wants his team to win. I can totally respect it, and Randy Moss has begun to separate himself form the malcontent, selfish player that he was depicted as in OAK. Good for Randy, good for NE, and time for us Eagles to move on to Fitz, Roy, or Walker... (and possibly Hackett if we must).
I think he didn't get the FA buzz he expected - teams understand they aren't New England and may not get the same Randy that Bellychick got. When he saw he wasn't going to get a huge deal with big guaranteed $$, he resigned for a healthy sum and a chance to win a championship.
I'm only giving him so much credit...call me a cynic.
Eagles offered 3years around 36million, goes to show you Moss wanted to stay in NE over money

It was reportedly a day of "high drama" with both teams believing they had Moss in the fold at various times. Ultimately, Moss was afraid to leave a place he was so happy with. Philly's aggressive play indicates they could get in the mix later this offseason for Chad Johnson or Roy Williams.
The Boston Herald is reporting that Randy Moss came within a hair of signing with the Philadelphia Eagles. Quoting a source, the newspaper's Web site said that Moss and the Eagles negotiated throughout the weekend and that Philadelphia thought it had him locked down at one point.
Can you imagine how Patriots fans would've reacted had the Eagles landed cornerback Asante Samuel and Moss in free agency? It appears that the Giants' Super Bowl title has lit a fire underneath the Eagles.
The NFC East would've been unbelievable with T.O., Moss and Plaxico Burress. Donovan McNabb would've had his first viable target since T.O. left town in 2005.
OK, I have to hit the road. Snow on the way.

That makes me a bit angry and a bit disappointed. Oh well. Now that we know this, the Eagles better sign someone. This just shows how much of a need a WR is to the Eagles.
I think he got about the going rate for a top calibur WR. Did he deserve more....maybe. But I think he wanted to be on a solid team with a great QB throwning to him.
Good choice by Moss in my opinion.
