Lately, I've really enjoyed reading sports books rented out from my local library. Just today I read "Juiced" by Jose Canseco. Very interesting book, I must say. I look quite forward to reading "Game of Shadows" sometime in the near future. But I digress.
What I really wanted to ask in this thread are the following - what are some of the best sports books you've read and why?
Loose Balls by Jayson Williams--the former NJ Net that allegedly shot his limo driver. The book was written before the incident, but gives a funny look at the life of an NBA player in the 90s. I liked it a lot.
