Not true, I recovered mine from weeks ago, but it was also from Firefox 2 and I imported them on FireFox 3. Instead of going into the bookmarksbackup folder I just loaded the bookmarks.bak file and it worked.

ahhh yes... I always forget the bookmark.bak file cuz my other way is so much easier and I always catch it right away if my bookmarks are deleted...
