Who is the #11 rookie for keeper/dynasty leagues in 2008?

Postby The Lung » Fri Mar 07, 2008 10:30 pm

#1: RB Darren McFadden
#2: RB Jonathan Stewart
#3: RB Rashard Mendenhall
#4: RB Felix Jones
#5: WR Malcolm Kelly
#6: RB Jamaal Charles
#7: RB Chris Johnson
#8: RB Matt Forte
#9: RB Kevin Smith
#10: RB Ray Rice

I'm going to do the top 12 of these and call it quits, which will basically comprise the first round of a 12-team draft. After the NFL Draft in April, we'll do it all over again in May. ;-D

Who is the #11 rookie for keeper/dynasty leagues in 2008? Feel free to discuss the pros and cons of these prospects - this could be helpful for some and generate some good discussion. Please feel free to use Combine results to aid in your decision. If you vote "other" please discuss the player after you vote, and if he doesn't win as a write-in, I'll add his name to the next poll.

After looking into it more and reading more things, I actually think I like Jackson more than Sweed. That's where my vote went this time.

I'll vote for Manningham again, although Sweed would be a good selection as well. I still don't like Jackson's absurdly small frame.

Just like I don't like Manningham's absurd inability to go over the middle.

Would you mind explaining why you like him more than the other WR in this draft (aside from Malcolm Kelly)? I don't know all that much about him, so I wouldn't mind hearing an explanation.

I voted for Devin Thomas. He's got good size for a WR and is explosive after the catch. I probably would have voted for Sweed over him but Sweed's injuries are a concern to me.

Exactly, except for the probably voted for Sweed part. Sweed's injuries are a huge concern for me and I just don't think he is that good of a wide out either.

Thomas as the size, speed, explosiveness, and no fear of going over the middle. I really like this guy in the NFL

I have no problem with Thomas at this spot, even though I personally didn't vote for him. This may sound weird coming from a Michigan fan, but I really can't see Manningham being better than a few other guys still on the board. From watching him I've seen him get easily frustrated, and he simply doesn't have the ability to catch the ball in traffic.
