Excited for the game this weekend. Every game is a mystery with this Hokie team, though. They flirt with disaster every game but have been squeaking by since the week 1 loss to ECU. I haven't seen a line on the game but I'd imagine Nebraska is favored for 3.5 or 4 points. I admittedly don't know that much about the Huskers this season, but it sounds like their pass defense is their biggest weakness, lucky for them the Hokies don't really have a passing game. I'd be up for some paper bag/avatar/sig challenge, but I don't think any of those are worth that much to anyone here since I hardly post on the light side.
I'm not going to do a paper bag for Nebraska until they show me which team they are. They've played brilliantly for one, maybe two quarters a game, then the other two... it's a different team. Any PBC now would just be a coin flip.

We don't deserve to be ranked yet. We just haven't played anyone. Although i was pleased to see that we manhandled the spread offense and a Veteran QB of New Mexico State. Gives me a little hope that we might be able to at least contain a few of these explosive Big 12 offenses.
My players to watch this week: Erik Haag, DB - He looks to be one of the few physical DBs that we have. Tyler Wortman, LB - Big physical LB that finally will get some PT this week because we are playing a team that will actually lineup and run the ball. Marlon Lucky, RB - Needs to prove that he can run between the tackles Cody Glenn, LB - We're gonna need him to contain Taylor Niles Paul, WR - I'd really like to see him get more snaps on offense. Hes looked very promising on punt and kickoff returns so far.
My thoughts exactly. Also, I agree very much about Eric Hagg. He reminds me a lot of the young Bullocks Bros. I wonder if they'll use Cody as a spy on Taylor. He's got the athleticism to keep up with him, but he overpursues and he's not a technique tackler yet - he's all raw eagerness. Lucky - eh. I'm about ready to write him off. Aside from that one run against New Mexico St, he hasn't impressed at all. Helu is the most exciting RB we have, without question.

So sorry, KC. Maybe next year when we visit VT?
Yeah, I actually don't know what team the Hokies are either.
I'd say it's a coin flip on a neutral field, my line prediction was based on home field advantage.
I'm getting more and more excited for this game. So many questions running through my mind: Will the offensive woes continue for VT, or will this be the game the offensive line (with a (hopefully)healthy DeChristopher back) comes together? How much of a factor will Nebraska's size advantage on both sides of the ball be? Will VT be able to will a victory even if outplayed like the GT and UNC games? I dunno, it'll be a tough atmosphere for a relatively young team. Can't wait.
