Madden '09 and NFL Head Coach '09

Apparently Madden 09 will NOT be released for PC... BOOOOOOO :-t

Also, they're going to give Head Coach another shot. Except the only way you can get it is if you buy the Head Coach 09/Madden 09 package deal for $90. Again, BOOOOOOO. :-t

PC Gaming isn't as good anyways.

Never played HC, what do you do?

Is it basically GM combined with Coach?

It's basically a way more complex version of franchise mode in the madden games. Personally i was not a fan of the first head coach game.

However, i am glad to hear that there may be a new one. I am a big fan of Franchise mode, and hopefully they will pull it (Head Coach) together this time around.

Also, i would not worry about having to buy a 90 dollar bundle, because there are going to be people who try it out, and sell it back to there local game store within a week. So you can just buy it lightly used.

Yes but when all you have is a PC you'd like for them to release the game on PC as well. In the first Head Coach you were responsible for getting your players ready to play each week. You'd run them through drills to increase their stats. And of course you'd call all the plays but you couldn't take control of the players and actually play the game. You were responsible for draft day decisions as well as who you hired as coordinators. Problem is that it became much too tedious and time consuming. Long story short, it was a good idea that could have been executed much better. I bet they learned from it and I bet Head Coach '09 is much better. If only I could play it.... :-°

Just for the reference, Head Coach is releasing by itself a month to 6 weeks after the bungle comes out, their trying to keep it quiet so to speak to get as many people to buy it with the bundle, but I did read they will release it seperately, personally I'm looking forward to that more with the upgrades it got.

Wildcat formation

Postby bagobonez » Sun Jul 27, 2008 3:15 pm

Anyone heard about the "Wildcat" formation that the Raiders will have in Madden 09? Basically it lets you use a RB at the QB position if you want to. Of course you have to have a RB that's fairly decent at throwing the ball (Tomlinson, McFadden) but you can read more about it here if you want...
