Now i like David, but is this really a good move on the Jags part? I mean the guy is 30 years old. I don't see anyway that Garrard is going to be worth his pay in 7 years. I mean i'm not sure about how his pay will be split, but if it's anything like most NFL contracts, then he will be progressively making more every season. So this basically means, that in a few years, when he is to old to really get solid production, he is going to be one of the highest paid QBs in the league, and there is a good chance he wont even be starting anymore. Again, i'm not sure about the terms of the contract, so i don't know how much of that is guaranteed money.
Thoughts?
There is always a (good) chance i don't know what i'm talking about, so call me out if it turns you i don't
