If his rehab progresses on schedule McAllister may just have another year of fantasy relevance left in him. Likely not good news for Pierre Thomas' value though, at least in the short-term.

It would be a great story if Deuce could return from a second major surgery on his knees and revert to his old form. I hope he is able to assume his old role as the bellcow between the tackles. He handled the drafting of Bush with aplomb and has been a great teammate and citizen in New Orleans.
Well, someone's gotta say it. I'm glad that the Saints aren't dropping a Deuce!
I think this is great news for Bush owners. This may give him the opportunity to swing out into the flats where he has more success. Could catch a lot more passes. I'll be a something to see what Deuce has left.
I think, therefore I am. I think fantasy, therefore I am unreal?

This should actually help Bush's fantasy outlook. He does much better when he's not the featured back....as long as Duece's wheels don't fall off again.

Should the 29-year-old McAllister return and play up to the level that made him one of the league’s top running backs, he will have a chance to make much if not all of the $4.7 million that he could have this season.
But if McAllister struggles to return to form on his two surgically repaired knees, the Saints will not have to pay him what he was scheduled to make this season.

Yeah, I think that is the only reason he was not cut. The Saints have been asking him to take a paycut or restructure since the end of the season. They did not want to release him b/c of his popularity. I am glad he agreed to restructure and I hope it motivates him to return to form this year.
