Ocho Cinco no go

to team functions any more, as reported by ESPN's John Clayton. More smoke maybe, but he's really not helping matters.

Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson left no room for doubt Wednesday: He wants out of Cincinnati as fast as possible and he doesn't plan on reporting for any future Bengal function -- mandatory or voluntary.

"I want to make this very clear," Chad said. "Nothing has changed...I don't want to play for the Bengals. I don't know where (Palmer) got that. I wish he would stay out of my business. I don't intend on reporting to anything."

I hope CJ is somehow able to have Tarvaris Jackson/Kyle Orton throw him passes. I bet he wouldn't mind playing for the Bengals then.

Yawn. He has needed to shut up for years, and still needs to.

I would LOVE for the Jets to keep up with their stellar off season and trading for Chad would certainly satisfy me because the Jets need that one player on offense to make plays and I feel that CJ is the player to do so.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

If Chad plays for any other team next season I'd be pretty surprised. In fact I'd be less surprised if he sat out all next year and even less surprised to see him in a Bungles jersey opening day. The Bungles paid him and they want their product, there is no way they are going to pay him to play for another team and he's an idiot if he thinks they will.....well he's an idiot anyway. :-b

He'll probably end up getting arrested anyway. After all he is still a BUNGLE. :-b

Wouldn't he be blatantly violating any contract he has with the Bengals by skipping mandatory workouts? It's one thing to say this stuff in April but if he actually skips everything he'll run the risk of screwing up his NFL career. Who wants to sign a crybaby anyway? I can't believe other skins fans want this guy. Please no.

Talent talks. Teams will sign somebody with the star power and talent that he has thinking they can fix the product. You just have to hope it turns out like Moss in NE or TO in Dallas. They (at least temporarily) fixed the bad enough to survive and that's the chance you take with any player like that.
