Defining Physical NFL Teams

While listening to Collin Cowherd's ESPN Radio program I was intrigued by his notion that One of the most underrated aspects of NFL Scheduling that every NFL Player he's ever asked has agreed with is that the tough parts of a team's schedule are when they go up against a whole bunch of physical NFL teams in a row.

He said that this is when players & teams get dinged up & injured. Makes sense. Interesting - particularly if you like to bet on a game every now & then as well.

Teams with a physical reputation that I recognize:

Jax
Baltimore
Pittsburgh

Bears, Giants and Packers have always been considered pretty physically tough on defense.

Watching Jax play the Steelers at least once (sometimes twice) a year, I'd have to say they are the most physical team in the league. Their D is hard hitting and their O is a pounding run O. Very physical, entertaining games.

As far as other teams, I can't really think of any other teams that haven't been mentioned. I think the OP got it right with Pitt, Jax, and Balt are the three that would pop to mind right away.

They are the ones that jump out to me as well. I have heard interviews of multiple players say that Tennessee is one of the toughest teams to play.

Traditionally the Redskins are as well.
