The first page of this thread was kinda scary, in an ironic sort of way...I still don't think the Madden Curse is anything more then something to talk about, because people try to turn anything into the Madden Curse..As soon as VY pulled his hammy last year people were saying 'oh no the madden curse has started again', I mean guys are going to get knicked up at some point...Last year Favre got hit pretty hard at one point, the more hits he takes like that eventually will lead to him getting hurt.


With that being said, if something crazy happens like he gets hurt in a pre-season game then maybe I'll jump on board with the believers

I think the curse has already come true in a way. Favre went to 2nd best QB of the year last year, breaking records left and right, to Packer castaway.

It was shocking how much the packers didnt want him in camp. We'll see how things go for him in NY

I don't know, I think the Curse has taken on a mind of it's own. I mean it gave Favre an "itch" to make him think he wanted to come back and play. That's pretty powerful stuff. But maybe you're right. In the movies, we always see true love break curses, hexes and spells, so I think that only leaves one form of protection for Brett Favre this year. John Madden must confess his undying love for Brett Favre on national television and give him a long, passionate kiss to break the Curse for good.

EA sports is going to have new covers with Favre in a jet uniform that people can print out and insert into the box.
