I guess I'm okay with both picks, it just sucks when you can't get everything you want. I really, really, REALLY wanted Mendenhall to push Benson right out the back door, but I hear good things about Forte, so we'll hold judgement there. I also wanted Henne pretty badly, not because I think he's going to be great, but because ANYONE has to be better than the bums we suit up every week. Besides, I do think he will be a decent QB, and after the first few guys, the talent level seems to evaporate pretty quickly. So that means the Bears will draft their next big thing at QB from the 6th round or so, the &$%*$^%^ bums.

Not an overwhelming draft for me. Too many players that look to be special teams guys only, but what else to expect with 5 picks in the 7th, right? Kind of disappointing not seeing a QB drafted, guess they'll be picking through the undrafted FA pile for one. I expect most draft pundits will be giving the Bears draft a low grade because of not addressing the QB issue.

I've never been much of a college football guy, so most of what I know about these players will come from reading scout reports and articles. I hope this has been enough to restock the o-line though, because otherwise, watching the Rexman/Korton show is going to be painful this year. Forte sounds like an upgrade over Benson, but I expect the Bears will give Benson every opportunity to show us how much he sucks before getting hurt again.

My grade: B-

Hmmm. Fantastic. No attempt whatsoever to find a replacement for Rex Grossman. I hate the Bears. I'm going to switch my allegiance to the Cowboys.
