Cherilus isn't half bad...you're not supposed to get a franchise LT at #17 overall anyways. I watched most of BC's games (I live in the teen pregnancy capital of the world 30 min north) and Cherilus seemed to hold his own most of the time doing his part keeping Ryan off his ash. Of course solid in D1 isn't quite what you want...you want spectacular in college with a chance to be solid as a pro. I will say I never thought BC's RB had any lanes you could drive a truck through, or if they did they were filled by the next level quickly since their RB were slow to begin with. I wasn't a fan of the pick myself, but they could have taken who I was rooting for (Otah if OL or Talib on D) and I would have though "Millen took him, something must be wrong."
This pick is dependant on how well Alberts (the guard they traded down from) and Kevin Smith (the RB they ended up taking with the 3rd round pick they got for that trade) do.
Alberts is suppodedly ready to play right now, while Gosdar has to re-learn the position. Kev Smith will be given the chance to earn the starting job, almost by default as the Lions have little to no competition at RB.
Myself, I axiously await seeing if his mean-streak can translate into double-team late hits by he and the little fella, Raiola.
