In the past I always avoided Mike Vick because I never belived he was a consistently good fantasy QB. This year, I know I will stay away guys on the 49ers(outside of gore). I don't believe in Alex Smith at all and he automatically downgrades guys like Vernon Davis, Issacc Bruce and Arnez Battle.

You can't say averaging 5 TDs a season is 'good' for a RB. Well, I suppose you can, I just wouldn't.
Actually Fred Taylor has been surprisingly good the last 2 seasons. All while in a committee with Jones-Drew. (Though This probably saved his career =)) I'll take 200 Fantasy points though from a RB that I can get late all day.

In yards heavy leagues Taylor, and standard leagues (TD = 6 points, 10 yards = 1 point) has still been effective. Taylor also said himself he won't retire until he passes whoever is next in total rushing yards, which was about 1200 yards IIRC, so Taylor should still be a safe bet for someone needing a backup RB.
Thanks to deluxe_247 for sig, he is welcome to sail with the Captain too! I will win all of the fantasy cafe games.....next year

If you haven't looked at his past production then how can you say with any certainty he's been a consistent anything?
If you just flat don't like him that's certainly your prerogative, but if you're going to call him (or anyone for that matter) a "dud" it'd be nice to see some sort of factual basis for your assessment.
