Finally, Les Miles dismissed Ryan Perrilloux for the football team. Not good news for the Tigers prospects at the quarterback position, but at least the team's character goes up.

The Times-Picayune wrote:BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux has been dismissed from the team.

Head coach Les Miles says that Perrilloux "didn't fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete." He is declining additional comment.

LSU said Friday that Perrilloux is expected to finish out the spring semester at the school.

Good for LSU. That's the right thing to do. Who knows? Maybe this will make the kid wake up and realize his behavior has consequences.

Yeah I really hope this kid gets his life straight, he had so much going for him and threw it away. Maybe he can get into a small school somewhere and handle his business. :-?

Its about time! He certainly had some experience, but with as little time as he's been on the field is it known that he's that far superior to everyone else they have? He seemed servicable, but I didnt think he was as good a QB (not athlete) as Mauck or Russell.

I really felt like the offense wouldn't lose much from Flynn to Perrilloux but I don't know about now. I guess its better to get rid of him now and let some of these new guys get a chance at practising with the first team offense. It would of really sucked if he stuck around and got kicked off the team right before the season started.

Exactly. I think the LSU offense is a lot less screwed now than it would have been had Miles let Perrilloux linger ominously on the roster for a few more months.
