The Bears have released S Adam Archuleta.
The Bears hoped that Lovie Smith, who coached Archuleta in St. Louis, could help revive his career, but it didn't work: Archuleta lost his starting job halfway through the season. Fourth-round pick Craig Steltz appears to have impressed at minicamp, giving the Bears plenty of depth at safety.

And good riddance. ;-D

Kinda worried about any time the Bears feel they have enough depth at a position though. Lately, its meant that that position is going to be killed by injury. Last year they felt the safety position was deep enough to trade away Chris Harris. They also felt good enough about the DT depth with Dvorachek healthy. Those two positions ended up not working out so well during the season.
:-o
The cake is a lie.
