hey guys, i am leaving for vacation tomorrow night so this will be the last post for about 2 weeks. i just wanted to keep you up to date with what i am thinking so far.
Yahoo League, Live Draft, 8 teams, head to head, non-ppr
For trades, we will not vote to approve deals, the decision will be totally in my hands. i will take any imput from any owners, but i just feel when you vote people vote just because they are pissed they didnt get that deal/player. i will be as fair as possible, but i will allow trades that seem to favor one team as long as i dont see any type of collusion.
for the playoffs, 6 teams will make the playoffs. the other two will play the next week for the 1st draft choice. so the 7th place team will draft 1st, 8th second. then after the first round the 4-6 teams (those eliminated 1st week) will play in another bracket to determine the next 3 spots (4th will draft 3rd, 5th, will draft 4th, and 6th will draft 5th). the remaining 3 teams will draft accordingly (1st will draft last, 2nd will draft 7th, and 3rd will draft 6th). i think this is a good way of preventing people from tanking their teams.
let me know your thoughts on the following: - starting 2 QBs - keeping 1-3 players next year with no penalties for the first 2. the only rule being that you cannot keep 2 at the same position (other than RB and WR because they can count as your flex). if you keep a 3rd player you will lose the draft pick of the middle player you picked next year (so if you keep your 1st, 5th, and 9th round picks, you will loose your 5th round pick) - open to starting more players/expanding roster size if you guys want to

i am only in 1 other league at the moment, so this will be getting most of my attention this year. i have never commished before but i am a fair person and will always listen to any comments you guys have. thanks for those who have responded so far, and i need 2-3 more so keep the posts coming (i know its still pretty early)
Well you should be back soon from vacation so now its time to reply to your post. i like the idea of having 2 QB but then we should up the keepers by one. like 3 and only one from each position and if we keep the forth we forfeit our 1st round of redraft or what ever. I like the idea of the last two places playing for the draft position but don't quite understand the middle three. Should we name our teams after a pro team or fav coach? Rookie draft in reverse order from the reg draft in first year to equal out some?
yea i like the idea of the 2QB too, but i think i am going to keep it 2-3 keepers. i think 4 will just make the draft boring, i still want to be able to get good players in the draft next year, not have all of them locked up.
and i have played in a league where the rookie and regular draft were split up, but i am open to the idea. i can kinda see how it would be cool, but what is the main idea of doing that?

i have always played yahoo leagues so i perfer them, but something i definetly want to do with this league is have players automatically put on waivers at gametime until tuesday. i hear fleeflicker does this, but i have also heard that yahoo added this option this year. i want to do this because i dont feel like sitting around every sunday snagging guys on my computer.
alright guys. i have the basic rules written down and will be posting them shortly. (i'm at work and i forgot my pad at home). But i was looking and i think i am going to use fleaflicker for the league. from the tour it seems to be better than yahoo. i am going to set the league up probably tonight, so if you want to be in the league pm your email and i will give you the login information.

thats why i like 8 team leagues. you dont have to mess around as much with people you've never heard of. and it also makes trading alot more interesting and the players availible for add/drops are of better quality.
