T.O. on Pacman and Ocho...

Postby SLAMLLC » Mon May 12, 2008 12:28 pm

What are your thoughts on the Cowboys' offseason -- like, say, the arrival of Pacman Jones and all his baggage and the team's pursuit of Chad Johnson?

Oh, man. You know what? It's double trouble. And that sounds like a negative, but it's double trouble in a positive sense. We got one of the two, but if you bring both of those guys in? Pacman's going to bring a lot of defensive presence at the cornerback position, and he brings an added spark with his return ability. And if we add Chad? Oh my god. Chad on one side and me on the other? It's like, dude, who you going to cover? And we got Jason Witten? And we got Marion the Barbarian [Barber]? I mean, geez, pencil us in for the Super Bowl. - T.O.

but in his head i think it would go something like:

"dont bring in chad...thats less balls for me...less TDs for me...and less attention for me. defense is great, but leave me to be the only big name WR on this team."

I don't think that there would be enough footballs in the state of Texas for those two on the same team.
A win next week and all is forgotten.

I'm sure it would make Romo smile. What's the salary cap like in Dallas nowadays?

Romo would have a wet dream every time he set foot on the field. But wierdly enough this was actually said and more wierd, TO and ocho cinco are good friends going wayy back til when Chad came out of college. So...while this seems like a bad idea, and while I, as a 'Boys fan, am still scared about all these guys and the 'boys turning into the raiders....I think that the collective goal of getting to the SuperBowl (no doubt OBVIOUS favs in the NFC maybe even without 85) may actually unite these guys.

And if/when TO puts up his cleats Big D would still have an elite, younger guy still there...I can't believe I'm saying this but....wow. i like it.

Not really great especially with Barber not being signed past this year.

T.O. and Ocho would be a great combo. Ochocinco would open up middle routes for T.O. and T.O. would open up outside (soft) routes for Ochocinco. The press clamoring for Blamemaker (Ocho) and Rainmakers' (Pacman) attention will help keep T.O. and his big mouth out of trouble. It's a great blend.
