Marinelli and the Draft

I don't know if you any of you have heard this live on Sirius or just off of the Lions website like I did but I thought i'd post it in case. This is like a 17 min clip of Rod answering questions about the various players that the Lions drafted... I'm not sure if I have an opinion either way yet on Rod but listening to him, he certainly does a good job of making you a believer. Maybe its false hope but its a good listen either way if you have some time to kill.

I am very doubtful of NimRod so that taints what I hear. Rod can buy into the tape, but for me it's what happens on Sundays that matters.

If you want to be optimistic consider that it now appears as if NimRod was in full control of this draft, unlike last year where you could see the influence of Ford, Millen, and Martz. Sadly, now we must suffer with seeing if NimRod's tape evaluation of rookies is better than with vets.

I don't have a huge problem with a lot of the draft picks that have been made over the years. Sure there are some that I would have went a different direction, but at the time I don't think they have been overly bad....sitting in my recliner.

I guess I have more issue in what they have done in free agency and even who they have gone after in coaches.

I would have taken Alberts(?) instead of trading down for Gosdar the Magnificent.
