Alstott was a great pass catcher out of the backfield.
I think it's safe to say Gruden, who has used Graham both blocking at tailback and blocking at fullback, knows he's a better blocker than KJ. And Graham had even more receptions/start than even Pittman had in his time as a starter.
Alstott was a solid pass catcher, Pittman was a great one.
That flushing sound was Adrian Peterson's, CHI value going down the toilet.
Kevin Jones make Adrian Peterson (CHI) worthless in almost all leagues.
"Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time."
For me the signing of KJ shows how the Bears feel about having Forte as the unquestioned starter. They are willing to take a chance on a guy that may end up on the PUP list to start the season. THe signing shows me they are not comfortable having Forte be the everydown back and starting running back for them this season.

Or it could be that they're Covering their a***s in the event that their new running back flops, which don't necessarily equate to "not (being) comfortable having Forte be the everydown back and starting running back for them this season".

Jones thinks he'll be ready for camp July 16, 2008 BY BRAD BIGGS Staff Reporter

How soon Jones, a former first-round pick of the Detroit Lions, will be able to contribute remains to be seen. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee Dec. 23 and might begin camp on the physically-unable-to-perform list, even though he passed a physical. If he begins the regular season on the PUP list, he wouldn’t be eligible to join the 53-man roster until after Week 6.
ACL reconstructions typically require a minimum of eight months to rehabilitate, so the depth chart might be topped by Forte, Adrian Peterson and Garrett Wolfe to open the season. Coach Lovie Smith made it clear after organized team activities that he was committed to going forward with that trio in the post-Benson era. Asked if he’ll be ready for the start of camp, Jones said: ‘‘I think so. They’re going to be cautious with me and take it slow. The doctors recommended I don’t get hit in the first week of training camp. I don’t know what the plan is for the preseason.’’
If Adrian Peterson (CHI) was down around the 45th-50th RB, is that where yall are sticking Kevin Jones? He obviously has more natural talent, but where does he rank? Up around Matt Forte (30th in the brand new Cafe Redraft rankings - thanks guys, yall are the best ), or slightly lower due to the injury risk?
I still think that Forte is the favorite to start there. I would not even draft KJ at this point. They have no QB and no one to throw to. Hester is still raw and Olsen is still new. The O-line is ok. Teams will consistently have 8 in the box this year.

Thats because I don't think he is going to be a good NFL running back and is in a terrible position right now

Olsen looked great to me last year. I think if it wasn't for Clark, Olsen would easily crack into the top10 TEs, maybe even the top5.
