AOL Fantasy Leagues Will be Transferred to Fleaflicker

Here's the latest update re AOL Fantasy League Manager:

AOL FANTASY FOOTBALL PLAYERS
We are excited to announce that Fleaflicker.com will be the fantasy football game for AOL Sports this upcoming NFL season. Fleaflicker.com is simply FREE & EASY fantasy football. The new design and interface of Fleaflicker will allow you to better to enjoy your fantasy football experience.

Leagues active in 2007 will be transferred to Fleaflicker. We hope this process will be completed soon. In the meanwhile, please go to Fleaflicker.com to take a tour and get familiar with the site. Don't forget to come back to AOL Sports' fantasy homepage during the preseason to check out our free online draft kit, and during the regular season for fun and insightful fantasy content and tools.

I posted a question or 2 on the fleaflicker forum & I've been watching one or 2 of the threads because the admin will respond & give good info. Here's what I saw today:

How will the site know which AOL league to transfer over to which Fleaflicker league?

As the commissioner, should I create a new league here and have everyone create accounts, or should I wait for the transfer in June?

Don't create anything yet, we'll do it for you. If you registered for Fleaflicker with the same E-mail address used in your AOL account, we'll automatically move your teams into that account.

You MUST sign up for fleaflicker with the same email address you had on AOL for the transfer to go through. Changed my fleaflicker email address already.

So if I registered with a different email address from the one I used on AOL and have already created the league (loaded rosters, etc), and I change my email address to what I used on AOL - I wonder if there are any repercussions with the transfer which might goof up what I've already set up.....

So I emailed Fleaflicker and they said they would be moving my teams from AOL. That hasn't happened yet, but as I look at the Fleaflicker's set up it's not the same as AOL/Fanball. When you go to set up the roster requirements you can set up starters, but you have to set up bench by position. So instead of setting up 8 starters and 8 bench I have to tell it which positions to limit for the bench. I was extremely happy with AOL/Fanball, but I won't be making the switch to fleaflicker. Has anyone else looked at who can provide free customizable leagues? Yahoo, Espn, and Fox are all to limited in the fact that their flex position can not be WR/RB/TE.

I have not set up a league yet, so I'm not sure where it is located, but you should be able to do what you want. I have another league on there and in the rules it has:

Roster Requirements 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 TM, 1 IR
Totals 24: 9 Starters, 15 Bench

so I'm sure there is a way to do it.

fleaflicker will not be the same as AOL/fanball, they acquired them so they are going to make it their own. It should be a very nice site and I am looking forward to playing on it. I'll send the guy that created my league and see if he can explain where it is at.

Welcome to the Cafe!

Click on "commish options". Then click "edit roster requirements". Then it gives you 3 options: 1. Team Defense, 2. IDP, & 3. Custom. Click on whichever option of the 3 your league will be using. On the next screen is where you can set it up the way you want. On the bottom you'll see "total". All the way to the right is "edit". Click on that and then you can enter "roster size", "bench", & "start". Good luck!


PS: I've set up leagues on a lot of sites and fleaflicker is the most customizable that I've seen. It just takes a little bit of time to get used to a new site.

How do I find out what my email was when I signed up with AOL?

I know it sounds dumb, but I only ever went to the fantasy section and I can't find any sort of account page for my AOL screenname.

As far as I can see there's no access to our old leagues either.

has anyone been able to access their league info from last year yet? We're going to switch our leagues to ESPN this year and they're all keeper leagues, so we need the final roster info. We were on cbs sportsline for a few years, but got tired of paying the $150 fee per league so we tried AOL last year and were VERY disappointed.

Anyway, has anyone been able to access their '07 rosters from AOL?
