well its really like comparing apples to oranges there. if you notice...metroids sig height is about half of what a normal sig is, and his background is fairly plain in general which saves quality after downsizing. for me to cut the sig down to that height, i would basically have to do the whole thing over again.
i can make the entire thing smaller like this (which i honestly dont even think makes a big difference) or cut the bottom of the sig off so you have less KBs tied up in the sig, but thats about it without me dropping in a bunch more work, thats why i asked so many questions initially. if you look around the cafe at any other members with normal sized sigs that have cafe team userbars under them, like myself, check out the quality on those. yours actually came out better than most do. (and mine being one color actually
improved how mine looked...still looks more blurry than yours)

leber...thanks for the compliment. i did try to go a little different with the text but i wanted a little different look this time. i get tired of "standard " looking text and sometimes just want to break the mold and go for a font that sticks out. i know thats really not the "in" thing these days in graphics, but i try not to follow that stuff too closely

. with the players name, i actually hit a wall on the placement for it. there was no real standout spot....and i tried to go small and basic to keep the KBs down so he could get the userbar in.

if it were my choice, i would have actually left the name out and dropped the cafe tag close to the bottom of the sig.
and yeah...you better start with that sig for the contest dude
