Wipeout

Postby Venom » Sat May 31, 2008 12:19 am

So I guess there is a new "reality" show called Wipeout.

For those of you who have watched MXC(Most Extreme Challenge) on Spike TV, its an American version.

I used to watch MXC, but it got kinda old with the same routine over and over. I did love the commentary, though...I think that was my favorite part.

I am wondering if this new show will tank right out of the box...

I will watch! I loved MXC!!! The commentary was pretty good, but just watching those goofballs bash their heads in over and over was enough for me.

Some of those people had to get seriously injured, didn't they?

ultimate banzookie is as good or better IMO, but I heard about this american version of MXC a few weeks ago... I'm not super excited. I'll watch it, but the Japanese versions of these shows are always a million times better. Every time America tries to do a version it fails miserably and fades away to the point that nobody remembers the attempts. I hope it's good, cuz I loved MXC, guy ledouche ... hilarious...

MXC is an american show, they just use Japanese footage. So why wouldn't a pure american version be ok?

I think it should be ok, but it won't be as funny as MXC.

I thought MXC was just the English-language version of Takeshi's Castle from Japan? No?

Well sort of. They don't translate, they create completely different dialogue.
